A decision was made to produce "The Fence" a collaborative script of Duke McAdow and Bob White. Duke will direct and work on recruiting actors for the various roles. As for the coming Inter-Club Contest which will be held in the bay area on Saturday, October 21, 2006 Duke has written a short script dealing with the life of a discouraged, homeless person who seeks refuge from predatory teenagers in a run-down hotel in the inner city. He feels totally defeated and at the end of his rope when, unexpectedly, a stranger meets and talks with him. Whatever the magic of the stranger's words the homeless one leaves the hotel with a new sense of self and the return of feelings of human dignity. We hope that a professional actor, Dean Shallenberger, will take the homeless man's role.
Bernie Scofield told us about a series of four meetings to be held in a retirement center in Rio Vista about Inline Skating. The first meeting on August 19th will tell the expected group of sixty seniors about Inline Skating. The second: a bus ride/skate purchasing trip. The third session will be a lesson in skating, the fourth, actual performance by those who have completed the course. Duke McAdow and Bosko will film these four sessions. Bob and Sue White
