The second Thursday in June falls on the 8th and as usual we will be meeting at Access, Colma School, 46th and T \Street, Sacramento at 7PM in the Jamestown Room.
As a follow up to the interesting movies we saw at the May meeting, we would like to do it again, So---all are invited to bring their movies, regardless of theme, or whether or not they are finished or still in production to the June meeting for all of us to enjoy. .
In other news, we have sent DVD copies of A Time to Run to all of the agencies listed at the conclusion of the film asking for their comments, pro and con, and any suggestions for improving SAMM's production. We have added a new local agency to our list called the Partnership against Domestic Violence.
Feedback from a local minister who works in a teen center liked the movie but felt the commentary was flat. Another thought the commentator nervous. Sheila Hirsch did well under the difficult conditions when she recorded her remarks, but she, too, would like to redo ATTR, hopefully with better sound equipment. Erick has been experimenting with ways to use our own equipment to create a tele-prompter. Hopefully, he will bring us up to date on Thursday.
We would hope that Bernie Woods and those in the bay area who have seen ATTR would take the time to send us their comments.
See you on Thursday 6-8-06 with your latest masterpiece.
