Three members showed their Christmas/Thanksgiving five minute DVDs. Sue White, clips of the family Thanksgiving on Monterey Bay, Christmas at Herb Bennett's featuring a deep fried turkey. This cooking process takes only thirty minutes and the results looked appetizing. Jeff Thompson shared movies of Fontana Auto Crossing, shots on Universal Studio's back lot, and a family meal at his parents house, (the location used in the original video" On Being Homeless" which became Duke McAdow's prize winning "Moving Minnie."
We welcomed Stephen Davis who would like to be included on the SAMM Yahoo roster. Stephen showed his camcorder replete with a variety of filters which creates interesting effects.I'm hoping he will explain more about these effects at future meetings.
Erick Lorenz showed the excellent completed commentary by Sheila Hirsch of "A Time to Run". Copies will be made and distributed to schools and social agencies dealing with domestic violence problems.
The balance of the evening was a Q & A period with members firing questions at Erick Lorenz.
The March SAMM meeting will be held on the 9th of the month, 7PM. Coloma School 46th and T Streets. We will send an e-mail reminder before that date.
