Congratulations to Duke McAdow, Erick Lorenz, Herb Bennett and the wonderful cast of "moving Minnie" for winning the current inter club contest. Erick reports that the competitors, four of them, presented three documentries and one scripted movie based on last years winner, having to do with the struggle of removing products from their plastic wrappings. The trophy is a golden statuette on a heavy black base. We'll bring it to the next meeting. "Moving Minnie" is a masterpiece in its simplicity, clarity and clever special effects and ending.
A reminder that our next meeting will be Thursday October 13, 2005 at Access Sacramento, Coloma School 46th and T Streets 7 PM in the Jamestown Room. In that connection thanks to Bradley, a young lady who has replaced our friend Jan Zacharias who recentlyh retired, we will continue to meet in November in the Jamestown room and in December, Nevada City. All on the second Thursday as usual.
Erick earlier suggested that we prepare a production to show on Access, Maybe we can combine the two Switch movies with Moving Minnie and advertise SAMM by showing what we can do. Also suggesltions have been made that we upgrade our website so that we can show our productions on the web. Let's discuss these ideas at the next meeting.
Also, as usual, we urge members to bring in their own productions to share with the rest of us..
