CAST
There are five roles in this short:
Henry Jones
Dolly Jones
Gunther Norman III
Axel Norman
Gunther Norman II.
I'm hoping to have the "Henry" and "Dolly" roles filled by
tomorrow...my two candidates were out of town for awhile but have
promised me they will make a decision tonight!
The "Gunther the III" and "Axel" roles haven't been cast...the
leader of the theater group I had contacted has not returned my
email yet.
(If we get in a jam, I can probably fill those two roles with a
couple of family members who are always asking to be in one of my
projects!)
I don't have anyone for the "Gunther the II" role. It's a very
short performance with only a couple of lines...maybe someone from
SAMM would be willing to step in...? :-)
LOCATIONS
There are five locations:
1. Jones house:
Interior - living and dining rooms
Exterior - front of house (establishing shot) and patio
2. Gunther Norman Movers office
Interior - Basic office setting
Exterior - Establishing shot only
3. An empty housing lot:
Wide shot showing Henry and Dolly in foreground
4. A phone booth (optional...Dolly might use a cell phone instead.)
5. Empty field:
This need only be a digital photograph, upon which Jones house
will be superimposed.
I'll need help with the Jones house...if my actors commit, we might
be able to use their house, but they have Dachshunds that bark
incessantly.
The movers' office interior could be one of the classrooms that SAMM
meets in. I could possibly use an office in Davis, or possibly the
public access TV station in Woodland...?
For the empty housing lot...in Woodland there is a lot of home
construction, and we could shoot that brief scene at one of those
lots.
The empty field...around Woodland there are a number of small farms
and I could stop alongside one, stand on the roof of my car and snap
away.
These are all just suggestions, if anyone has more or better ideas,
please let me know! (either here or at the next meeting)
Also, I'm appealing to the 44 people listed as members of this Yahoo
Group...if you've ever thought about getting involved - on-screen or
off - now's a good time! Send me an e-mail at dmcadow@...
Thanks and see you all on Thursday!
