               SAMM May Meeting Notice

Twenty-four members of the Northern California Council of Amateur Movie Clubs enjoyed lunch at the Sudwerk Restaurant in Davis. Following the lunch, DVD’s of the five winners were shown. The five were selected from the twelve entries by our judges from Access Sacramento, Jan Zacharias and TD Trice. The winners were:

Illuminated Boat Festival             Bart Wittekind, San Jose

Stormy Weather Wedding           Craig von Wadden, San Jose

Thai Wedding                              Gordon Peterson, San Jose

Congratulations to the winners and to those entering their movies. And special thanks to Bernie Wood, who offered good counsel and moral support and to Frank Swanson who brought a second DVD player which was used when one of the entries didn’t play on the one at hand.

SAMM will meet at Access Sacramento, Coloma School 46^th and T Streets Thursday May 12, 2005 7PM in the Nevada City Room. Erick Lorenz has prepared copies of both the winners and all of the entries in the FFF contest which he will hand out to those interested.

After the re-edit of "A Time to Run" we should be talking about future projects which could include producing a video history of our club. Please bring your latest tapes and DVDs to share with fellow members.
