March Meeting will be on Thursday 3-10-05 in the Jamestown room, 7PM at the Coloma School, 46th and T Streets, Sacramento.
The Filming for Fun Announcements and the location and price of the luncheon have been sent to Bernie Wood, President of the Northern California Council of Movie Clubs for distribution to members of the four other clubs in the Bay Area. The entry rules have been modified limiting submissions to three formats. They are VHS, S-VHS and DVD-R. Entry deadline is March 31, 2005 and there is no entry fee.The revised rules and other information regarding Filming for Fun will be handed out at the Thursday meeting. Those who cannot attend, the information will be e-mailed to you. We hope that SAMM members will be well represented in the FFF contest.
Jan Zacharias has agreed to join TD Trice as a judge but to date we have not heard from David Van Leer who is the third judge.
With regard to A Time to Run we have found a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is Clinical Director of an agency which works with battered women. She has agreed to be filmed making comments about the ATTR and precautions for young women who might become involved with violent men. In addition,The Information Line, one of the acrtivites of the Sacramento Service Planning Council has expressed an interest in providing helpful informtion for those involved in a violent or potentially dangerous relationship.
Please bring in your VHS or DVD productions finished or not for the rest of us to view.
