Fellow SAMM Email Group Members,
Below my signature I am forwarding a copy of an email I have recieved
from Tim Carozo of the Sacramento PC Users Group. His email gives
information about the next 2 meetings of the Sacramento PC Users
Group. Of special relevance to SAMM members, the December 15,

Sacramento PC Users Group email from Tim Cardozo:
SPCUG Main Meeting
Wednesday, December 15th, 2004
This month's program, as of December 8th, will feature:
Mike Zellmer and Brian Smither presenting: Using Media Creator 7 to
make your own videos on either DVD or even CD.
----------------------------
Make Your Own DVD and/or CD Videos
using Roxio's Easy Media Creator 7
Come learn how easy it is (even Mike Zellmer and Brian Smither can do
it!) to make your own videos using Media Creator 7 from Roxio. Mike
and Brian will be sharing their considerable experience and expertise
with us (making it look easy) while passing along some hints and tips
on "the process" of making your own video. Everything from
gathering the material for a video project to editing techniques will
be covered to show you how to build your own great videos. Want to
learn more about Roxio's Easy Media Creator? Just click here.
------------------------------
Also, thanks to SPCUG volunteer Roy Korb, we have several great
give-aways for MEETING ATTENDEES who are Active Members! This month
we have at least 3 prizes:
Concord, 4.0 Megapixel, Digital Camera
Adobe, Photo Shop Elements
50 CD-R (blank media) disks
Any of these prizes would make excellent Christmas gifts (nudge,
nudge, ... wink, wink).
----------------------------
We meet at the Sacramento Association of Realtors, at 2003 Howe
Avenue, between Alta Arden Expressway and Cottage Avenue, across from
Kmart. Our meetings are always free to the public although Door Prizes
are available only to Active Members. Our Main Meetings begin at 7
p.m. and run until 9:30 p.m. A free tutorial for beginners preceding
the Main Meeting begins at 5:45 p.m. and lasts until 6:30 p.m.
More information about our group and additional details on this
month's program are available at our Web site, SACPCUG.ORG
-----------------------------
;-) Don't forget! If you know your e-mail address is changing, or
you have any other problem with e-mail from SPCUG, tell us about it!
Either reply to this e-mail or send a note to Mike Zellmer, our
Membership Coordinator, so we can take care of it .
------------------------------
Next month, another SPCUG personality: Milt Hull (our President!) will
demonstrate:
1) Installing and using Print Servers in a SOHO (Small Office -
Home Office) network.
2) Setting up and using "Remote Desktop" functionality for, in
particular, Desktop Assistance.
Milt's presentations should be useful to anyone who uses their
computer and/or printer as part of a network.
Here's wishing you the very best of the Christmas Season. See you at
the Main Meeting!
