Hello H,
Sorry I've not been intouch. I have been replying but to an address
that does not receive mails. Yer I'm that clever. Nevermind I can
assure you that we've been having a very interesting if not one sided
conversation.
Yes I've seen Burtons Hamlet, I take it that we're talking about
his '64 New York run? I would have liked to have seen in at Stratford
in the '50s. How you seen the picture of him and Claire Bloom? It's
taken on stage in costume. No I've not seen the documentary Richard
Burton: In from the Cold? Maybe it's an American programme.
Great Idea but sharing videos. I doubt it would be that expensive but
I thought British tapes would not work on American players and vice
versa. I thought they were different formats. Yes you are quiet right
about Sally Burton. She was a production assistant working for the
BBC when they met on the set of Wagner. You should see here then,
what a plain Jane but hey look that her now and they say money
doesn't help. Yes I know I'm being catty and now I'm going to
finish my saucer of milk.
I remember a documentary she did a couple of years ago about tinsle
town. She remarked on how many doors, being Mrs Richard Burton,
suddenly openned for her.
Well I'm still at work and must go so take care and hey to all in the
group.
cheers
Rob
