Agree with you Sheila -- I too celebrate the joyousness of Burton every
day, he really does light up my life with his talent and personality.

Re his family: his brother Graham is still around and living just up
the road from Pontrhydyfen, and one of his nieces, Sian Owen, daughter
of his sister Hilda, still lives in Pontrhydyfen itself.

The village erected a memorial to him on his birthday in 2006: it is
very nice. Aside from Burton the memorial also remembers his parents
and his sister Edith.

When I visited Port Talbot last year I was lucky enough to have
breakfast with someone who had been to school with Richard and who knew
him well as a boy -- he had some great stories!
