Hi Roseann,

Yes Sut Mae is 'hi' in Welsh it's short for Sut ydych chi which is how
are you so really it's like the American howdy and you
pronounce it 'shoe my'.
Welsh isn't difficult it's a latin based language thanks to the Romans
so it's similar to French, Spanish and Italian. The word for bridge is
pont in all languages.
I don't mind telling you what I know so if anyone does want to learn
some Welsh words just ask.
Sorry I've not been around but I've just started a new job and you know
how it is.
cheers all
RobM
