The rebirth of the Ransack group - to discuss the Avengers as well as everything else under the sun.

This mailing list is moderated. The first posts of all members will not show up until I've had a chance to read it and make sure it's legitimate. Then the member will be cleared to post without hindrance.

Background
This list was inspired by the classic 60s TV program The Avengers...and so of course all discussion of The Avengers is welcome here.

However, the name of the list is Ransack. This comes from the episode The Master Minds, a sort of MENSA organization in which people who tested with high IQs got together in one location to talk about this, that and the other, but also to put their brains together to solve the world's problems.

This list is open to anyone, regardless of IQ (a bogus measurement of intelligence vs education, anyway) who merely has an inquiring mind and wants to know.

My thought is that, in addition to discussing the Avengers, we'll share information on any books we're reading, fiction or non-fiction, on any of the sciences - hard or domestic, or indeed anything that catches our fancy. If there's enough interest in a certain book, we can get together and have a chat about it. Anything to broaden the mind.

This is a new list and its focus can evolve and grow as we move forward, but that's what I'm thinking of right now.
