Happy new year all...
I've been curious about this myself, but I'm not a gamer so I couldn't
offer any insight, until now. While visiting my family for Christmas, I
asked my two younger brothers (who are gamers) if they've played
Neverwinter Nights 1 or 2. They've played #1, and say that it IS a good
game.
It's strongly based on Dungeons & Dragons, and is meant to be a solo
adventure game (you set up a character then go through to solve quests,
kill monsters, collect treasure, that kind of thing). It's possible to
network together with friends and play as a group, but it's not an online
(massive multiplayer game). I got the impression that it's one of the
better games of the solo/small group-adventure type. NWN2 will probably
continue in the same vein.
I was even loaned a copy of the first game. I still have to see if I can
install it and give it a try. If anyone checks out NWN2, I'd be curious
to hear more about it.
Be well,
Peter
