Was absolutely amazing. She blew the roof off and took the concept
of Cabaret to a new standard in my humble opinion. I'm a little
biased. But I know everyone else agreed. She sang the Barbra
Streisand song "Don't Rain on My Parade" or whatever it's called.
Yea!!! That was awesome. (okay, I'm not a professional reviewer.)
She did an amazing medley of Burt Bacharach songs and of course
found a way to give them heart and a story. Another favorite was
seeing and hearing her sing "I Dreamed A Dream" again from Les Miz.
She started with her opening song from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and
came in from the audience. It was cute. Rachel only had a couple
of days to really pull this together and I know she was nervous but
she blew the place apart. She would talk and be this humble and
kind of sweet young woman and then she'd sing and that VOICE!!
Filled the rafters of the small bar. The ticket price was only
$10.00. I told Rachel people should have come up to her after the
show and given her more money.
Hello!!!! Cabaret and Concert Promoters!! We have a natural fit
here. Hollywood Bowl? Let's GO!!!
She looked good too.
