I sure has been quiet :)
I think he and June Allyson had a relationship which ended badly.
On a slightly related note, saw Chris Lawford on Chicago Hope this past
week. He died in the first 3 minutes :) He played a good corpse...very hairy
chest.

>It's been a little quiet lately... well, more than a little. Things have
been crazy the past few weeks... and there's no real news, but here's
something anyway:
>I finally got to see Two Sisters from Boston the other day. It's Peter's
first movie with both Kathryn Grayson and Jimmy Durante. It's fluff but
it's entertaining. Peter's character in it reminds me an awful lot of Frank
Sinatra's charactor in Anchors Aweigh. I especially liked the scene where
he was carrying June Allyson around. I remember reading somewhere that he
couldn't stand her; anybody know why? They sure made quite a few movies
together.
>Other note: so far as Esther Williams' new book, if you're looking for
mention of Peter in it, all she says is that she worked with him, and that
he at one point slept with Lana Turner, but according to Esther, so did
everyone else. Maybe it's a good thing she didn't have much to say about
him--not that I'm the sort of person to deny that any of my favorites had
problems, but with all the bad stuff that's been said about him, maybe a
little silence is a good thing. I'm guessing he didn't make an impression
on her either way--she writes a lot about the people she loved working with,
and a lot about the ones she hated, too. Or maybe she didn't think anyone
who would read her book would remember him, I don't know. The rest of it's
interesting...
