It's good news, but I'm quite upset that she was overlooked for "Van
Helsing" last year. I mean, they put in one token fantasy film (if
any, sometimes) and somehow, a movie that barely takes place 50 years
ago is nominated. Case in point, "Ray" being nominated instead. I
mean, anyone can make a '60s tux, but to make Drac look like a
J-Rocker is a far-higher achievement.
Of course, she was passed over for the Saturn Award for "Sky Captain
and the World of Tomorrow"...which I have to say is absolute bull.
Like I said, she has a lot of talent for historical fantasy, I don't
know why they keep looking her over.
But, I was a little more impressed with "Brothers Grimm", to be
honest. I'm not saying I'm not making the trackie suits, but her
historical stuff wows me more than anything.
