As a Special Screening on Sunday, May 18th at the Mahaiwe Theatre, The Berkshire International Film Festival will proudly present the new digital edition of Ridley Scott's ground-breaking 1982 science fiction classic Blade Runner. Douglas Trumbull, who designed the film's stunning special effects will be in attendance with a pre-screening presentation of his personal behind-the-scenes stills and narrative illustrating how he accomplished the ground-breaking look that has made `Blade Runner' a fantasy classic. Trumbull, who also contributed his visual wizardry to such films as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Close Encounters of the Third Kind as well as Silent Running, which he also directed, is yet another pivotal Berkshire film talent.
