Hello Admiral,

thanks for your 2 cents on edits - it was an interesting
and funny read!
Thankfully, they haven't started editing out scenes in the
credits yet in the UK, but you never know... ...UK stations
may suddenly decide that that is a great idea.

You're lucky to have the Crimetime slot. If I want to see the
complete episode, it means chasing around for videos
(prerecorded or from the good ol' days when TV broadcast
didn't revolve around advertisement).

All the best.

Terri

hihi

generally, reruns of old shows are edited to fit the new one hour
timeslots... They pack extra commercial advertisments between the gaps now,
therefore older shows would run over thier allotted times if they werent
edited down.  I know the US channel FX defintitely edited thier episodes,
because they'd run about 10 minutes over if they didnt... they even edited
out a scene that was in the credits in one episode... (brilliant, i tell
you, brilliant)...

at any rate, the last time i saw unedited versions were the CBS crimetime
after primetime reruns, they were on so late that they let them run over the
extra 6 minutes...

thats my 2 cents on the matter, off to read the trey parker/nick rhodes
interview i bought ( what an odd pair)

cheers,

the admiral
