Re: Firefly on TV Vote: The End is Nigh!

Ni hao, Browncoats!

This is a Wave across the Cortex for alla you flans out there who are currently
NOT voting
for Firefly on Rich Labonte's TV Vote site:

http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html

I would like to ask a small favor of you. Go to the TV Vote site, bookmark it,
and, just once
a day (you /can/ vote up to once per hour), click the Firefly box, and, hit the
vote button.
One, two. That's it.

Firefly is still #1, but, we're trying to get to half a million points as soon
as possible, as
well as to secure a 10% share of all votes ever cast, and, to beat our current
record of 75
consecutive days at 1,000+ votes/day, which has been a problem, recently. There
are 317
members listed on this board; if even a fraction more of us voted just once per
day, it
would make a huge difference. That's Fan Power!

If you care to, you might choose to vote the "Joss Bloc," i.e., Firefly, Angel
and Buffy the
Vampire Slayer, especially since BTVS is in a good position to sneak past BSG,
if it gets
enough votes.

TV Vote doesn't use cookies; it only records your IP address, to verify that
multiple votes
cannot be registered by the same user within a given hour.

As it turns out, the TV Vote end isn't /quite/ so nigh:

Nah. No end in sight. 5 million will be nice, but 6 million would be
nicer.
Besides, we gotta see Gunsmoke hit the Hall of Fame for Mr. Arness and
I think that'll take a bit longer.

Life goes on in the modern world,

So, if we're goin' to 6M, we have 1,258,376 uncast votes, as of today. Divide
that by
yesterday's total votes cast, 11,648, and, you get about 108 days, more or less.
Votes are
still finite, though, not so scarce, right now. So, the end is in sight; we just
have a little
more breathin' room, is all.

P.S.:

Oh, and, if folks aren't currently nominating anything in the lower poll, Dark
Shadows
could use any help you can throw 'em. Really, even if you are nominating
anything else,
given the time frame involved, the only show in the Noms that's gonna ever break
out is
DS. So, if you care to see Hercules banished to the underworld, and, some of the
nicest,
middle-aged vampires you might care to meet made very happy, could you help vote
them
up outta the crypt?

I've been helping 'em out for a couple months, and, they've been discoverin'
(and, votin')
Firefly:

http://tinyurl.com/2xrxcw

They'll have just enough time to knock Hercules out and Cleopatra 2525 down to
40. Just
hit the "Noms" link at the bottom of the TV Vote page, and, type "Dark Shadows
(1966)"
into the polling box.
