All, this is a reminder and a change notice about our final copyright
seminar coming up on Film/Video and Music. The seminar has been moved
to Thursday, May 8th from 3:30 to 5PM and it will be held in Room 165
of the SCIENCE BUILDING. The Science Building is located on the
Portland USM campus between Luther Bonney Hall and Payson Smith.
Parking in available in the parking garage also located on the USM
campus (parking fee is 50 cents an hour) or there is plenty of meter
parking on the streets as well. Please click the link below for

Speaking will be musician Spencer Albee (a current band member of the
group As Fast As and formerly of the Rustic Overtones) and
entertainment attorney Mark Fisher of Fish & Richardson in Boston
(http://www.fr.com/directory/directory.cfm?aid=513). They will be
covering topics that relate to copyrighting music, the usage of music
in film and video as well as well as clearing the rights to use items
in film (such as music) and making sure that you own the content of
your film/video.
