The following is information I received from the producer of Portland,
ME's 48 Hour Film Project...... Great opportunity to get involved in a
Maine film competition.

- Will

Hello Everyone!

The countdown begins. The teams are starting to roll in and things
are starting to heat up!

We have a little less than a month now before the 48HRFP filming
weekend, August 17, 2007.

So if you haven't signed up, get on it!

Here are a few things I wanted to mention about this year's
competition. Most importantly, what you win! So here is a link to
what's at stake for this year's competition:

http://www.48hourfilm.com/filmmakers/prizes.php $7500, not too
shabby....

Now that we have that out of the way, as many of you already now a
Google Group has been created to help people get in touch with one
another about the competition. Actors looking to join crews and crews
are looking for actors, so on and so forth. I invite you to join the
group and check it every now and then. You may come across the next
big star! I created a couple of threads that I thought were logical,
but I am always open to suggestions (and that goes for anything and
everything!).

Finally, I really look forward to this year's competition. I hope you
all come out and represent Maine filmmaking. Last year was a great
year, especially for a first time city. What made it a great year was
the friendly but heated competition, the great films, the audience,
and all the people involved in the filmmaking. It is a great
opportunity for every one to come out have a good time, be creative,
and make a film. Oh yeah, and you get to see your movie on the big
screen in front of family, friends, and peers.

If anyone has any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at the
e-mail below. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as
possible. Please check out the 48HRFP website for Rules/Regs and the like.

Finally,

Here is a little promo clip my friend Eric put together from last
year's entries, enjoy! (He scored the music as well).
