Hey guys,
I just joined this group, and I thought I'd leave a quick message.
I'm obviously a big Star Wars fan, but I won't dwell on this (as most
people seem to). I live in the UK and both Ewok Movies were released
on video over here, and I own both of course ;-). They are perhaps
one of my favourite additions to my SW collection, (particularly as I
don't know anybody else who owns them). Unfortunatly I didn't see
them in the 80's when I was a child, although I'm sure I would have
loved them even more if I had seen them back then. However as I said,
I did I managed to track them down on video a few years back, and
I've been enjoying them ever since. If anybody wants scans of the
video sleeves, (Battle for Endor has a funky double sided sleeve to)
I will be happy to do so.
I don't really have any questions, although I would love to see both
the Ewok Movies on DVD. Somebody asked if they ever would release
them in this format to Rick McCallum on the "Ask the Council" section
of www.starwars.com Rick replied that they would be a possiblity of
this and he actually seem enthusiastic about the idea. I imagine it
won't be for a long time though, as George obviously has Episode III,
Indy 4, and the original trilogy DVD release as prioties.
Eric, have you heard anything about the release on the Ewok Movies on
DVD? I also read your interview on www.lucasfan.com and you mention
that you made a behind the scenes documentary for a School project
with Warrick Davis. Would you consider letting these and some of the
other things you mentioned be availible for special features on a DVD
release? That would be very cool.
Anyway, I did say this would be a quick message, but oh well lol.
It's nice to see somebody giving something back to fans as well. Keep
up the good work.
Laters,
Alex
