Goal: To not only have a place for other Simon Templeman fans to meet but to archive his works and appearences as well, primarily those in the Legacy of Kain series. I hope to one day make this one of the foremost sites for information and multimedia on Mr. Templeman's many roles.
The Legacy of Kain series began with Blood Omen: The Legacy of Kain for the PlayStation 1 in 1996 and from day one it was considered a sleeper hit. Its FMVs were revolutionary for its time and its sound quality remains peerless, despite the years. Often regarded as having the best voice acting in video game history, Simon Templeman, Kain's voice actor, has captivated every player from the casual reviewer to the most ardent fans with his rich monologues as Kain's story -- and that of his "son" Raziel (Michael Bell) -- has unfolded for us. Although it is technically an action game, Blood Omen, as with the rest of the LoK games, feature a story more engrossing than a number of top RPGs, and often with more maturity and depth as well.
While his name is unknown to most, Simon Templeman is the enigmatic and resonant voice and striking face behind not only a number of television's heroes and villains, but numerous video games and movies. Mr. Templeman has also been a featured thespian in a number of L.A. Theatreworks' plays, all of which are available in recorded form.
I have a few reasons for starting this mailing list. First of all, I am always happy to converse and discuss the LoK series with other fans, but often I do not have the time to do so on the forums.
Secondly, I admit I am very much a fan of Mr. Templeman and have had trouble finding more of his works. I have met others that share my sentiments thanks to various LoK forums and traded what little multimedia we have been able to find but I thought it was about time I made a permanent home for us to communicate, share info, and archive media.
