Whew - I am so relieved that I've heard from Lisa, after these past
several months of not knowing what was happening in her life and the
work she's doing.
That said, there is good news, and some bad news, on the work front
that she told me about - one is that the Lifetime TV series Conspiracy
is a no-go. The test audiences loved the pilot, but Lifetime crazily
and mysteriously (my opinion here, but probably not just mine) did not
pick it up!! And, believe me, the pilot episode was pretty darn
intriguing! :0
Ok, that's the bad news - the good news is that Lisa has guest starred
and will guest star on a few TV shows this season, and there are
possibly other gigs in the works that she will wait to comment on.
One of her guest star roles was on the season premiere of CSI: Miami
last night (Monday, September 24) - and unfortunately, I only found
outa about this today - sorry for the late news, but I'm assuming CBS
will eventually repeat this episode called Dangerous Son. Lisa plays a
character who gets kidnapped.
Lisa also will guest star in an episode of the new TV series Moonlight
on CBS - where she gets kidnapped again (Lisa says it was a cool part
to play)! LOL The episode, called Out Of The Past, is the ep after
the premiere and will air Friday, October 5 at 9pm EST in USA.
Lastly, but best, since I think it's a recurring role, Lisa will be in
the NBC TV series Journeyman, playing a doctor (Lisa says it's her 1st
doctor role and it's a fun part and she loves the people she's working
with) named Dr. Theresa Sanchez who is dating one of the lead actor's
(Reed Diamond) character.
Lisa is set to appear in the third episode of Journeyman, titled Game
3, which airs Monday, October 8 at 10pm EST in USA. Just to be sure,
I'll be watching and recording episode two...LOL...you know, just in
case...
So this is all exciting news, but now I'm so disappointed I missed CSI:
Miami last night, and I even saw previews for it. :(
That's all the news from Lisa for now, and she sounds like she's doing
fine, and enjoying the work she's doing on these TV shows (on Moonlight
she worked with a director who also worked on Invasion and for
Journeyman she says the writers, producers, and directors are top-notch
and the cast is amazing).
Hopefully we'll hear more from her soon. :D
