They do indeed have some nice ideas...I've been working on a
Dunedain-based costume that I've been wearing to TRF, Scarborough
(Tx) and Colorado Rennies for the last two or three years. Most
recently I've made a sword scabbard and 3 point suspension system for
my Jody Samson sword and will soon be starting on my wife's.
On my costume, I've taken a few liberties as I'm creating a character
"Tillian" complete with his own history and not a specific
reproduction from the movies. He does borrow heavily from designs in
the movie Aragorn's outfit obviously and items such as trim from
Theodan's costume incorporated into his belt design... along with a
heavy dose of Celtic design work. Dunedain Rangers were a roaming
folk and I figure their kit would have been very unique given each
characters travelings and acquisitions along the way.
Good luck with yours Ryan.
