Here's what the dress looks like. I don't photograph well
(*cough*horribley*cough*) so it looks a little funny and I plan on making a
different belt that's more like a LOT of thing silky strands a sort of gold
color in the length of the belt now and it'd be tied in the same way, maybe
even braided, I haven't planned that far yet.
I used Simplicity pattern #9891. The neckline was too far scooped on me (for
some reason I always manage to make things too big, I don't know if it's me
or the patterns but it happens), so I made darts going from the neckline to
the sleeve seam, so it sort of looks like a raglan-combo sleeve. The sleeves
are two pieces, the seam on the bottom on the upper arm part and the seam on
the top for the lower arm part. The flared lower arm when flat looks like a
right triangle with two 45' angles, and the side that the hand goes through
curves out. It's made from one piece with one side on the fold of the
fabric. That's about it!
