Writer/director Lukas Moodysson ('F**king Amal' aka 'Show Me Love', 'Together') takes his audience on a turbulent and emotional roller-coaster, as we journey with Lilja (a remarkable performance from Oksana Akinshina) and the drastic turns her life takes when she is desterted and left to fend for herself in the former Soviet union.
