DETACHED is a contemporary Scrooge tale set in the Hollywood Hills that follows
Chadh Campbell, an unscrupulous mortgage broker, as he receives a stream of
anonymous holiday greetings during Christmas Eve and Day. As Chadh searches for
the perpetrator of this ''festive'' assault he must face the unfavorable reality
of just how many people he's harmed during his life, forcing him to confront how
emotionally detached from those around him he's become.

ROLE:
MANUEL SABATAR: Hispanic, 28 to 35. A hard working kid in school, Manuel was
destined for a good life until he took a fall for a crime he did not commit.
Recently released from prison after a 10 year sentence, he needs to confront the
person responsible for the crime. Not a typical Thug / Gang member type, Manuel
is a threatening, imposing man who has 10 years of prison survival and hardship
etched into his face and persona. He has grown up in the United States and so
must have an accent that fits. (No heavy accents.) This is a pivotal scene in
the film and a challenging role to play, so an experienced, trained actor is
needed for the role.


THE FILMMAKERS:

This is their second film, their first film THE KOLABORATOR is currently playing
in festivals throughout the world. THE KOLABORATOR has won numerous awards
throughout the world and most recently has been honored with a BAFTA nomination.
