I've got a Category One SAG industrial that shoots in San Francisco within
the week of October 24. Almost all of the roles are Latino or Latina but two
are logically a bit more challenging than usual... In part this is due to
their ages and in part it's due to the fact that SAG Industrials are not
exactly the big money projects. This one at least promises additional pay
for travel and supplemental internet use.
I'll copy and paste below the roles as they appear on the Breakdowns:
ERNESTO, Male, Hispanic, 75-90: - Age 87 in the script. Speaks English with
an Hispanic accent. Despite his age, he still has a sparkle and still lives
alone. He does however have conditions common to folks that age. He's old
school and has seen harder times than any of his kids. Boy does this
need a wonderful actor with a kind but firm perspective and a loving sense
of humor. He'll be adding his own experience to the script. Good actor. Good
person. The technology discussed in this piece revolves around his ability
to be physically monitored in his home - the peace of mind knowing he's
being looked out for - with out invasion to his privacy or independence.
ADRIANA, Female, Hispanic, 50-57: - Ernesto's daughter in law. Very close to
her father in law. Very good actress. Very believable testimonial in her
delivery. Think real person. Think documentary. Client would prefer no
accent (Adriana is ideally an American born and raised gal of Hispanic
descent); but that if someone great comes with a slight one, it would be
silly not to consider them.
That's it. If you can help, great. If not, no problem ... I'm just thrilled
you took the time to read this and put your thinking cap on.
