Delaney Lands Ex-Flame Gig on 'O.C.'

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - In two high-profile castings, Emmy-
winner Kim Delaney (news) and Teri Polo have landed key roles on
Fox's "The O.C." and NBC's "The West Wing," respectively.
On "The O.C.," which returns Thursday for its second season, Delaney
will play an ex-flame who reappears in character Sandy Cohen's (Peter
Gallagher (news)) life. She is slated to appear in at least five
episodes of the hot primetime soap.
Delaney most recently starred in NBC's top-rated earthquake-themed
miniseries "10.5" and is slated to return for a sequel. She won an
Emmy for her role as a detective in "NYPD Blue," and later starred in
her own short-lived cop drama "Philly
