I thought having Kim coming in drunk was awful. She either played the part
well or is still drinking. Good to have her back for now.

Subject: [KimDelaneyBoard] What'd everyone think?
Here's my thoughts on Kim's first of 4 Blue episodes this season -
from my NYPDBlueBoard Yahoo group:
What a great episode! The continuing serial rapist/killer storyline
is really good -- could it be that jerky bar manager who's guilty?!
Lots of great new settings too - with the doctor's office and the
bar -- it really helps revitalize things, I think. It was really
fascinating to see Diane come back into the squad, after her doctor's
appt. and trying to find some comfort in the familiar
surroundings/people (on a subconscious level, imo) at the same time
trying to keep her composure and self-assurance about her job
performance -- and not be able to keep it together. She flucked up on
the job and in the undercover assignment and she must have know that
Connie was wondering wtf was going on. I felt so bad for Diane going
through all that alone (since Dr. C must be out of the picture,
damnit!!) -- which made Andy's promise to her all the more moving
*sob*. How this plays out with the added situation of Connie's
pregnancy is going to be very dramatic!
I thought Connie's reaction was very spot-on with Andy at the end --
she felt slighted by Tony at work and then by Andy not telling her
the truth about Diane - I think the less you know for sure what the
other person is keeping from you, the more paranoid you get, even in
as close a relationship as A & C. I wonder if this "falling off the
wagon" is just what we saw tonight or if there will be more? Hmmm...
As far as the arson case goes, I was most impressed by the burned
actor playing the burned homeless man (who used to play Hank on Dr.
Quinn, IIRC! and was on a season 5 ep also). The crazy mom was
whacked out but I wanted to smack that dad for doing nothing while
the kid was crying his eyes out -- talk about a tiny dick!!
Yeah, how about that "Rich" shout-out, Rich? LOL!!
Anyway, I can't wait till next week -- it looks like another
excellent episode!
Dina :)
