Here's the big one... Producer Mike Masters and I are heading to Berlin in a few weeks to try and sell the movie at the Berlin Film Market. It is really really really expensive to go and only taking one movie is going to seriously hurt us.

 

Here is where the massive favor comes in. We need your ability to contact film makers online! We want to take as many other good movies with us as we can (can't take any shit as it could hurt Awakening).

 

We wouldn't be acting as Sales Agents, what we would do is hand out one-sheets and get addresses for the film makers to send their screeners to. Directly to the buyers and they can negotiate with them. I can provide a template listing what most of the sellable territories are offering for B movies and if someone offers cash in Berlin and the film maker puts in writing that we can sell for them at the prices that we discuss in advance, we can do that for 10%.

My past sales agents charge 25% of the sale of a movie and up plus up to $10,000 US to take the movie to a festival.

 

What I am offering (to offset our costs) is to take a film makers one-sheet and contact info (the same as a sales agent would do) and pass them out to the 1,000 plus buyers that will be there but they would have to provide the one sheets by the end of the month. Our charge for that would be $800 plus gst but we can negotiate a little for that.

This is really urgent as I need to raise about $7,000 for our booth alone very very soon. Freakin' expensive. I already have a German buyer waiting for us and I haven't even started contacting buyers!!!!!
