The superbly crafted NEIL YOUNG: HEART OF GOLD is an excellent
opportunity to spend a few more moments with one of America's greatest
songwriters. Critics loved this film. It is set at the acoustically
blessed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee where Young gives you
A CALMING SENSE OF HUMAN MORTALITY while talking about his life with
the audience and playing classic country folk with old band partners.
For a Disney film EIGHT BELOW has a lot more story than you would
expect. The movie follows the journey of eight sled dogs trying to
survive alone in Antarctica for 6 months after explorers are forced to
leave them behind. This movie is base on a true story from 1957 and
is a GREAT FILM FOR ALL AGES. Most critics really enjoyed the film
calling it engrossing and sometimes emotionful.
The disjoined FREEDOMLAND has been panned by critics. The thinly
veiled preachy tone to the movie, combined with a thrilless thrill
ride ultimately make this film about a white women's child abduction
by a black person A WASTE OF TIME.
Early on in 2006 DATE MOVIE is already being nominated by some
reviewers for Worst Film of the Year. It has been called TORTUOUSLY
UNFUNNY.
