The PINK PANTHER has received many very bad reviews. Steve Martin
gives one of his poorer performances as Inspector Clouseau. There are
few funny moments in the film, and is BAD FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.
Peter Sellers, and Steve Martin fans were greatly disappointed.
TENTH DISTRICT COURT is a fascinating documentary largely focused on
people watching in a PARISIAN COURT ROOM. Their court hearings are
more theatrical then in the United States, and this point is well
illustrated in the very interesting cases that are presented. Most
reviewers loved the film.
A film for children 4 and under, CURIOUS GEORGE has the soft and
gentle pacing that you would expect to find from a film adaptation of
the popular books. Most reviewers could not recommend this film for
anyone over the age of 5 do to the PUERILE DIALOG AND RUDIMENTARY
STORY LINE.
Directed by and staring Tommy Lee Jones, THE THREE BURIALS OF
MELQUIADES ESTRADA is a contemporary western set on the Texas border
with Mexico. Many reviewers found the film to be AMUSING AS WELL AS
PHILOSOPHICAL, as two men who don't like each other attempt to cross
into Mexico and bury a friends body. Most people liked the film, and
have given accolades to Jones for his directing skill.
