Pierce Brosnan fans will probably enjoy THE MATADOR. Brosnan plays a
middle-aged hit man falling apart, but it remains lighthearted and fun
considering the topic. It is a thriller as well as a character story.
The ACTING IS VERY GOOD, and most critics liked the film.
TRISTAN & ISOLDE is a big disappointment. Panned by most critics,
it's based on the classic tale of forbidden love set in medieval
England. The performances of the lead actors are very poor. The
lovers have NO CHEMISTRY. And the screen adaptation of the tale is
boring.
GLORY ROAD is probably the most cliche movie you will see in a long
time. The story of the first all black starting college basketball
team has been turned into a MINDLESS series of fairytale sequences.
There are so many movies of this type that do a better job, critics
are finding it very difficult to recommend this film.
The quickly forgettable and very poorly animated HOODWINKED is the
story of the "real truth" behind Little Red Riding Hood's
disappearance. The only positive thing that critics can say about
this film is that it MAY BY ENJOYABLE TO PEOPLE UNDER 10.
