Most critics call Woody Allen's new film MATCH POINT the BEST HE'S
MADE IN 10 YEARS. Tight and stylish, the main character is an also
ran tennis pro trying to win the affections of Scarlet Johansson's
femme-fatal character. Shot in London it focuses on the idea of luck,
money, and fame. Most of the cast are lesser-known British actors.
It has received 4 Golden Globe nominations including best director and
best screenplay.
Quentin Tarantino's new film HOSTEL is getting very good reviews from
horror film enthusiasts. It is basically A MODERN DAY DELIVERANCE
with more gore. The plot is based on two college boys backpacking
through Eastern Europe. It has plenty of chopped up body parts, and
is a small window into human trafficking.
GRANDMA'S BOY has not been released for review prior to opening day,
which has classically been a VERY BAD SIGN.
CHEEPER BY THE DOZEN TWO is considered by reviewer to be so POOR they
can't find a demographic to recommend it to.
