i am a new member and i just wanted to say hello.

i am a big double trouble fan but sadly haven't seen the show in many
years.  occasionally i get that catchy little ditty "maxie burger"
song in my head and my husband thinks i am nuts. LOL  he is a bit
younger and never heard of the show. i hope to be able to share it
with him because he is missing out.

what are liz and jean up to now a days?

I'm available to make copies of "Double Trouble"
and other Sagal TV shows.

Another group member, sent me a good copy of the
"Double Trouble" episode I was missing so now my
copies will have the complete series!

"Double Trouble" is 2 DVD's, or 5 VHS tapes.
Other Sagal TV appearences is 1 DVD, or 1 VHS tape.

All I ask is 1 extra DVD, or 1 extra VHS tape.

I am one of those that is currently among those noted as a new member.
I joined last week after stumbling onto this site after a regular
internet search for possible "Double Trouble" DVDs. Though this group
is not specifically about the show, it is about the driving force of
the show, the Twins, so I had to at least request a membership (and as
this post verifies, I was approved). I fondly remember watching the
twins and their show when it first aired and being a midwesterner, but
being a little disappointed (but not enough to stop watching) when
with the new season the locatation moved to NY, NY.

I have read, while reviewing the posts prior to my joining, that there
is a member that does offer an option of obtaining copies of the
series. I will have to look into this deeper.

Welcome aboard Des, I think I was the one who sent you here. I run the twins
main site and their email as well.

Yes, Steve Smith is the man you want, a retiree now living the good life amongst
the bugs and gators of sunny Florida. He'll make copies of the show, both
seasons, for you on DVD and all he asks is blanks in return.

You'll find his email listed in several messages in this group. Just go back and
read a few or he may chime in himself when he reads this post.

Have fun here, your amongst friends. Ask questions, start a poll, post any
photos of the show or the twins we don't already have or just chat!

I just wanted to say hello. I found this group while trying to find information
about Double
Trouble and the twins' careers online. I feel like I sound sort of silly
explaining myself,
because how many of these types of introductions have you guys read? But I guess
there's
no other option!

I was always a fan of Grease 2---when I was little, I was a little scared of
some of the
characters in the original Grease, and I loved everyone in Grease 2, which seems
far
fluffier. And of course, when you're a kid, twins seem like such a cool thing
(seems fine
when you're an adult, but I guess when you first learn about people being twins,
it's far
more fascinating).

I also had an older sister, so when Double Trouble came on, I loved it, because
it reminded
me of her and her friends (or how I imagined them, anyway! She thought the show
was
ridiculous.) I'd say Liz was my favorite twin, but Jean's Kate was my favorite
character on
the show. When they moved to New York, I imagined that was what my life would be
like
when I grew up, because I lived in New York. (That's pretty hilarious to think
about now.)

I always wished, like other people I've heard, that the twins had been chosen to
be on a TV
version of Sweet Valley HIgh after Double Trouble was canceled, which was around
the
time they'd first started talking about making the books into a TV show. Of
course by the
time they really got around to it, Liz and Jean would have been too old to make
sense in
casting, but I think the show could have been a hit instead of a failure if it
had starred Liz
and Jean!

I can't believe no one's DivXed or even YouTubed Double Trouble yet! Seems
crazy,
because I know so many people loved it. Does anyone know when the last time they
re-
aired it was, and where?

I hope that's enough introduction and not too much. Nice to see so many other
fans
here. :)

How much do you charge Steve?  I would love a copy on DVD of both seasons.  Leanne
