Legend 2006
This is really dreadful, Nikke, we're supposed to live in an age of
equality.
What about the new access laws that came into being last October?
I support you a 100%. I was thinking of going to Legends 2006 and
looking forward to meeting you - but if you are going to be excluded
in this manner, I shall not attend.
I know at past conventions that people who have booked late often
have to book another hotel - but it's often not too far and they're
usually in a group, or with other fans.
To ask you, someone who doesn't book at the last minute, to go and
drive 20 minutes to another hotel (which doesn't sound like it's
suitable either) and be alone there, when all you want is to be able
to stay in the same hotel as your friends and not have all this
extra hassle - simply because you use a wheelchair - that's just not
on in my opinion.
It is discrimination, exclusion and segregation in a way.
Like Tone says, it's their loss, but I guess that doesn't stop you
feeling bad, like some sort of outcast.
Hugs,
Annie.
