Welcome to the first mailgroup devoted to Scottish actor, James McAvoy

James starred as Leto in the 2003 mini-series, Children of Dune and appeared in the UK tv shows Shameless, Early Doors and State of Play, aswell undertaking a minor part in HBO's Band of Brothers.

On the big screen he's tantalised us in Bright Young Things, Inside I'm Dancing, Wimbledon and most notably as Mr Tumnus in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

2006-2007 saw him in Starter for Ten, The Last King of Scotland, Becoming Jane, and Atonement.

2008 looks to be just as busy with releases of Penelope, Wanted, Perrier's Bounty, and The Last Station.

Congratulations to James for his 2007 BAFTA(Scotland) win: Best Leading Actor for Last King of Scotland and his 2008 Empire Award for Atonement
