Dear friends,
Here is a message sent by Anil Mehta on behalf of CC, Mumbai.
------------------------------------------------------------------
This is to say that `Cinematographers' Combine' is back.
A long hiatus, many explanations but more important, we are aiming to restart a
process that should be integral to any professional practice.
A process of discussion, debate and learning. We are proposing a series of
weekend lectures, which aim to take us `back to class'.
Allows us to revisit the fundamentals and ask basic questions.
Also gives us the opportunity to hang out in the corridor and exchange ideas and
smoke (the two always seem to go together). So towards that end, we have
requested M.S.Sundaresan to conduct a `BACK TO BASICS' class for us.
The topic: `Elements of Digital Cinematography'.
Yes as basic as that, so everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask or
did not know who to ask, Sundar (as he is popularly known) will be there to
lecture us and address the gray areas (HD camera, vectorscope and all). He has
been teaching at Whistling Woods and if the grapevine is to be believed, has
emerged as one of the finest educators in cinematography, we have today.
The venue: WHISTLING WOODS
The date: 26th Sept. 2009
The time: 10am to 6pm
So spread the good word, register to confirm your attendance by 20th sept.09 by
writing in to cinecom@...
Do try and make it as this is really for the working professional and we do need
to kick start the process of meeting regularly. See you.

Warm regards,
Sunny Joseph
