It is with deep sadness that I heard the demise of the cinematographer
and humanist K.K. Mahajan who had left a great void in Indian
Cinematography. Though he was not keeping good health for some time,
he always participated in matters concerning Cinema and Cinematography
which had nourished him till his last breath.

We at the Indian Society of Cinematographers were honoured and
fortunate to confer upon him the Honorary Membership of ISC some years
back and will always cherish the memories of the time he and Praba
spent with us at Thiruvananthapuram. More than a Cinematographer he
was a real gem of a human being. Forever he will be remembered by all
those who had a chance to interact with him.

On Behalf of all the members of the Indian Society of
Cinematographers, I convey our heartfelt condolences to Ms. Praba
Mahajan and other bereaved family members and friends. We pray that he
guide us all from the heavens above with his eternal light.
