I am glad to know that Buddy wasn't being ironic when he told me he's an Ishtar fan - it's hard to know about irony sometimes in e-mail.
I'm not going to ask him if he's really a David Hasselhoff fan, I prefer the mystery. I tried to direct Mr. Gott to a great Hasselhoff video on YouTube:

but his connection is too slow to use YouTube. It's very sad; the video is exactly like something you'd expect Rogers and Clark to do. The rest of you folks should check it out and see if you agree with me.
