John, I live pretty far from Austin (Chicago)
BUT this sounds beyond cool. I trust you'll keep the
group here updated if and when it's going to happen,
and who knows, with enough notice I might even
consider paying my first visit to the great state of
Texas. Hope to hear more from you - :Jamie

Subject: [ILoveIshtar] Anybody up for a cinema screening of Ishtar with Paul Williams performing
I am not saying I can romise this as of this date but I, a huge Ishtar
fan, am the chef at the Alamo Drafthousee Cinema in Austin. I have
reviously cooked a four course moroccan meal, including the dessert of
Hot Fudge Love that was eaten while the film was playing. I met Paul
Williams at a screening of The Muppet Movie we did here a few years
back. At the end I had him autograph both my Ishtar posters and he
treated me to an impromptu singing of a Rogers and Clarke song that
didn't make it in the film. He told me how he always wanted to put out
a Ishtar album with good musicians. Well its been about 2 years and I
am trying to see if there are enough fans that could make it to Austin
for such an event. He is expensive but this would be the finest Ishtar
moment since the film debuted. Please contact me and spread the word.
The more folks we canget in here for it the easier it will be for this
to becokme a reality.
Live not a life of quiet desperation, make your love for this
masterpiece known.
