Oh please, Matt, don't say you would like that.
I for one would hate if the Ferrells, Wilsons or Stillers would hijack
Ishtar. I'd rather have NO Ishtar "sequel" than a remake or follow-up
with these current "comedians".
I hope that, knowing that Warren especially is known to do dozens of takes
and that Elaine May did tons of rewrites on all her work, there was much
extra material shot and they can fabricate a new movie out of that. Same way
Richard Lester made "The Four Musketeers" with leftover material from
"The Three Musketeers" and some added material.
Otherwise I hope Beatty and Hoffman can use the newest technique,
you know the one they used to have Marlon Brando show up in the last
Superman movie......
