Hey Gonz,
So VERY sorry I have not got back to you sooner. My
old HP has died on me and it took me a month to
replace it. Went with a old imac G3 ( a bargain at
$150.00) which for the most part, suits my needs
nicely. Love Mac OS X, but I wish I could run a newer
version (namely 3), and along with it, newer versions
of Safari. It also came with Internet Explorer 5 for
Mac, which is colorful, but has trouble loading a lot
of pages. Yours, for instance, loads nicely, but you
can't open any of the links from there. You should
see the colors some of my table borders load in with
it!!
Anyhow, sorry to hear things have been down for you.
Sincerely hope that you are okay and doing better. As
you can probably tell, summers are busy for me, and
unlike in the fall when I am driving, I have to share
on PC at work with about ten other drivers, so time,
needless to say, is rather limited. This combined
with a second job, a two year old, summer home
projects, and more shit on my plate than you can
possibly imagine, has left me almost no time--sorry!!
What spare time I have had has been dedicated to my
family, and catching up on newer SF shows. One of the
big advantages of working for a large public library
is that we have boxed sets of virtually every SF show
you've ever heard of--talk about your great fringe
benefits!!! So I've been working my way through the
first few seasons of Farscape, Babylon 5, Lexx, and
the new Doctor Who (tivoed off Sci Fi channel). They
are all great. Really, REALLY hooked on the new
Doctor Who especially. WOW!! What a great show!!!
Amazingly good. Did you ever follow any of these?
I think you mentioned WAYYY back that you had never
seen Message from Space? Shame on you! Get a copy as
soon as you can. Seriously, it is the best, most over
the top space opera you will ever see. The acting and
dialogue are hilarious and outrageous at times, but
there is so much color and great special FX (for the
70s), you will have an absoloute blast from start to
finish. It's like Starcrash on a HUGE budget, with a
mix of Japanese and American actors. So much fun, it
just has to be seem to be believed.
Anyhow, take care. I will get quicker about
responding to emails, promise. It will be much better
come September, when the school season starts and I am
driving again everday.
You know I look forward to anything you have time for,
updates wise.
Talk to you later, and if you are still down, hang in
there.
