Little did he know that the people of Argentina not only remembered Guy Williams, they adored him. Argentines lined the entire route of his motorcade just to catch a glimpse of their hero. When Guy walked into a restaurant people would stand up and applaud.
Feeling professionally appreciated and warmly accepted Guy eventually obtained Argentine citizenship and made a home in Buenos Aires, the "City of Good Aires". Alive with Latin energy and resplendent in the Old World European culture that he loved, Guy made his home and in time retired in Recoleta an upscale neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
