... Ah! Gotcha. Sorry, I only now see where the confusion lies. FCP in fact does say TRAVEL MATTE in the context menu (which I haven't used in ages)! Is it me

... HDCam with audio channels 1 and 2 as Stereo Left and Right and channels 3 and 4 Dolby E. ... something that I can do on a non-linear system or must I do
