thought it would be appropriate to let people in this room aware of
some of my achievements. Productive comments are acceptable:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! My pride bursts with joy and excitement over the
many successes achieved by my accomplished graduates working as Motion
Picture Script Supervisors.

Reflecting on many successes of the past year, and especially of many
of my grads trained by me over the years, it appears that many of
their achievements have been considered by some to be nothing short of
phenomenal, to say the least!

How many other industries can have such large numbers of people
earning over TWO OR THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS A WEEK IN THEIR FIRST YEAR
OF WORK!?

Several of our trainees have made that much money on their FIRST OR
SECOND paid picture after our training. A few, believe it or not,
have earned over one thousand eight hundred dollars a week, or more,
within thirty days of the training!*

A lady I trained about three years ago earned twenty-five hundred a
week in just thirty days after training. She's been working on shows
ever since and she recently told me that she is currently earning
three thousand five hundred dollars a week on a five day week
episodic. That equals to seven hundred dollars a day as a script
supervisor!

Another lady told me that she has been earning five thousand dollars a
week for the last two years on episodic series at a major studio. And
yet another was hired as script supervisor on a ninety-five million
picture on her VERY FIRST DAY of listing on the local's Availability
List. How cool is that? How often does that happen? And the list
goes on.

Excuse me for bragging about the earning rates of my grads. These
numbers are simply to put into perspective the opportunities that are
out there for script supervisors. But the requirement to fulfill
these high pay jobs is usually based on the script supervisor's
ability to perform and, of course, a little bit of luck and
circumstances. But we do make a bit of our own luck, don't we?

Many script supervisors trained here have written glorious
testimonials on their delights and pleasures in the results of this
training. And several others maintain that they also plan to write
their testimonials. Many producers and production managers have said
that they will only hire script supervisors trained by me.

While at a film function a few weeks ago, a producer volunteered that
he was so impressed with the ability of all of my script supervisor
grads he has hired that he is now going to write a testimonial to me
to that effect.

It's not just a coincidence that so many of my grads work on
Hollywood's biggest blockbuster films as well as on many dozens of
prime time episodic series, national commercials, and on so many other
films. Some of the recent shows include TERMINATOR 4, PIRATES OF THE
CARIBBEAN I, II, and III, SPIDER MAN I, II, and III, SUPERMAN RETURNS
(Hollywood sequences), and on episodic WITHOUT A TRACE (since the
pilot). WEST WING (for seven years), E.R., THE GILMORE GIRLS,
thousands of national commercials and countless other projects.

Furthermore, my boasting must include the large number of my script
supervisor grads rising up into producing, directing, acting, writing,
production managing, A.D.'ing, distributing... How neat is that?
Many have become high level studio executives. One is now Executive
Vice President of Feature Film Production at a major studio.

I can not and do not take full credit for these successes. People do
study, train, and work with others, you know. Others contributors
deserve credit for these successes also know. But I can and do take
credit for the successes of script supervisors I've trained because it
is not just a coincidence so many are so great.

Congratulation to the many of my grads currently working on films and
subscribing to this chatroom. Please do not forget that once trained
by me, it is a lifetime invitation for you to take advantage of my
consultation and guidance to advance in your own individual success,
no matter how many years or how many pictures you have worked. Take
advantage of that.

Even grads trained twenty or thirty years ago should learn the latest
advances in the industry and learn the additions to my forms since
I,ve trained them. These old timers can also discover what is coming
up job-wise in the near future. This assistance could certainly also
help beginners to rise to the top.

Dare to be great! This New Year will most likely become one of the
greatest opportunities for all of you to work in such a phenomenal
industry! (*These notes are verifiable.)

It is predicted 2009 will be a great year for film product with lots
of work! Peace! jimkellydurgin@... 818-787-8886
