Description
This group is dedicated to the timeless art of film financing. Very simply, anything related to finding the money to produce your studio feature length film, independent feature length film, documentary or short film is acceptable.
This group will be solely for Above the Line persons. i.e. Producers, Executive Producers, Co-Producers, Line Producers, Directors, Private Investors, Attorneys, Distributors and any Film Studio personnel who have the capability to either greenlight or strongly help greenlight a project. Theater Owners are encouraged to join and give their valuable insight.
Navigating the realm of film finance is very difficult with the 100's of different ways to finance a film or documentary. My hope with this group is to create the medium for investors, distibutors and studio heads to correspond, share ideas and network with filmmakers that under the current "Hollywood" scene would not be possible.
Be it the established studio head to the independent producer with finished scripts in hand. We all can learn from each other and break down the barriers and "red tape" that exists between "the suits" and the creative persons finding the ground to make incredibly entertaining films that of course turn a profit.
If we don't help each other, than our industry will continue to be marred by horrible films that drive the consumers out of the theaters and into the Blockbusters of the world slowly draining the potential of our films to make money. Even worse, as people begin to get into the habit of not going to the theater, piracy will become even a greater problem. Its all about perception and habits and it is time to bring the consumer back to the art of filmmaking and into the theaters first, Blockbuster 2nd.
Because of the nature of this group I will be very diligent keeping the group clean of vendors and persons who do not qualify for membership.

Rachel - You are right! To employ an inappropriate term beyond its usefulness is even more inappropriate. And, yes, Warner Brothers is a major studio and as

Re: FILM SCRIPTS?
In the Hollywood standard guide to script writing (developed out of Warner Bros. program, I think). It definitely includes the use of CONTINUOUS as a standard,

JIm, I understand your frustration. I believe those writers are using the term CONTINUOUS incorrectly, and no one has corrected them yet. Locations should
