We will also continue our in-meeting "Young-198" classroom short screenplay, watch a famous short film, and hear more with "Film Fest of the Week".

WANT TO BE AN OFFICER?
Lacy will be studying abroad in Cuba which means we are currently accepting self-nominations for officers of the club.  The officer must be available to go to all general FA meetings and Officer meetings (both of which are only once a week).  Being in the FA Office is LONG-TERM - this means self-nominating officers must be available next year (sorry, no last-year students!). If you would like to nominate yourself (we are only taking self-nominations), please email FA@... if you can't tell us in person, or talk to us at the meeting TONIGHT!  We'll accept nominations until this 12 noon this Wednesday.

ATTENDANCE AND MEMBERSHIP
There are two requirements to be a member of the club.  The FIRST is to attend at least one meeting (and sign in so we know you were there).  The SECOND is to make or participate in the making of ANY movie/film.  This includes all aspects of production - directing, writing, acting. (Movie does not have to go into full fruition)  Please email Steven at fkywong@... to tell us what movie/film you have been involved in to fulfill the second requirement. (If you were lucky enough to be a participant of a "Yount 198" Short during the meeting, that works to fulfill your 2nd req.!)

FA INVITATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Saturday, January 14th, 2006
6pm in 123 SCIENCES LECTURE HALL
Accepting all films under 20 minutes (FA and non-FA films).  Must be the movie's big-screen debut in Davis. Entries due by January 10th to FA@....

ROBOT MEDIA STUDENT FILM SHOWCASE
THIS SATURDAY, December 3rd
8:00pm in CHEM 194
Accepting all films under 5 minutes that fit the topics: "LOST" and "TWILIGHT" (loose interpretation OK).  Submit to submitdavis@... ASAP.

SPONSORING AND FUNDRAISING
EVER WANT TO BRING YOUR BUSINESS TO THE WORLD OF VIDEO? We are currently looking for business sponsors for the FA Invitational.  With a donation of $350 to FA, your business will get 2 free commercials which FA will make and present at the film festival.  You will get to keep the commercials for future use (at FA events or otherwise).  (Other prices available)  If you or any other business you know might be interested, contact andrew@... sometime before the new year.
